5 Pointz, or the Five Pointz Aerosol Art Center Inc, resonates in history as an outdoor exhibition space that marked the collective imagination. Once igniting the Queens district of New York, its walls of the disused 20,000 m2 water meter factory were the playground for creators of all origins, adding unique touches to the urban canvas. Graffiti culture and the very essence of New York were intrinsically linked to this iconic place destroyed in 2013.
This year, the festival pays tribute to him by celebrating the very essence of urban graffiti with the legendary “Writers” and “Graffiti artists” whose cryptic messages and lettering have redefined street art. On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the disappearance of the legendary 5 Pointz, we mark the occasion by illuminating the intricacies hidden behind these often indecipherable letters. This is how the exterior walls of Fagor become the scene of a passionate meeting between the streets of Lyon and the indelible heritage of 5 Pointz thanks to the talent of international, national and local artists.

These murals are created by local, national, and international artists who showcase a return to the roots of graffiti by presenting all styles. The main idea guiding our programming is to celebrate the diversity of the world of graffiti and street art by inviting artists who represent a wide and rich palette of styles. From pioneers of wild style to visionaries of graffuturism, from activists of the movement ignoring style to masters of calligraffiti and lettering, the walls of the Fagor factories are transformed into a living canvas where each artist brings their unique signature.
